Our site manager looks back on the Woods Point Aged Care project with pride. Along the entire length of the 75m extension, he says the brickwork is absolutely perfect. There is not a single defect.

Mid-way through the construction it was decided that the windows in three nurses’ stations were too small. Diverse Builders agreed to dismantle that section of the building and install larger windows. It was a challenge that proved worthwhile, given the client’s satisfaction with the final outcome.

The client also appreciated our willingness to schedule construction so an independent living area could be completed first, ready to be occupied while the rest of the extension was being constructed.

We added a kitchenette and 34 bedrooms to the facility. Each bedroom had an ensuite and built-in-robes, and met accessibility and safety standards with grabrails, non-slip flooring and no steps.

We also installed heating and cooling, skylights, fire sprinklers, smoke detectors and fire extinguishers.

The aged care facility remained fully operational throughout the construction process and the project was completed on time and within budget.
