Thirty years ago, timber-intense projects were the norm, but these days they require construction techniques that are considered quite innovative. Extensive use of timber provided some rewarding challenges for Diverse Builders during the construction of this 275 square metre building which was enhanced by a further 50 square metres of intricate decking.

The architect-designed Senior Learning Area, built for Grade 6 students at Sacred Heart Primary School in Tatura, features brickwork, Colorbond cladding and marine-grade ply. That meant the site was humming with a range of different trades and subcontractors, all focussed on attention to detail. Their work was coordinated by our site supervisor, who delivered the project on time, while the school was still fully operating.
