This custom-designed home on a rural block outside of Numurkah started with inspiration from one of Diverse Builders’ all-inclusive standard house plans. Our clients wanted to love living in their home for quite some time, so the young couple needed a dwelling that they and a future family could grow into.
Their home has four large bedrooms, lots of storage, two living areas and an outdoor living area with views across the district and a polished concrete floor. Meals can be passed easily from the spacious kitchen to this alfresco area, through timber bi-fold windows.
While our clients weren’t quite off the grid with their rural location, their plans needed to include a 110,000-litre water tank and septic tank system.
Solid construction built to last
Their brick home features metal cladding and roofing and is built on a concrete waffle pod slab.
As per our standard specifications, all plaster ceilings are fixed to metal battens which are clip fixed and levelled. Stud spacings are at a maximum of 500mm and roof trusses are at a maximum of 900mm. Termite treated timber was used in all frames and trusses along with part A & B Termite System.
This home achieved a 6-star energy rating with minimal upgrade to insulation.
